Edel Boylan

Edel is an experienced and passionate language teacher from Belfast. After graduating from Queen’s University, she completed her PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages in 2012 and began her teaching career at a highly regarded girls’ school in Liverpool. During her six years there, she not only taught French and Spanish across Key Stage 3 to Key Stage 5 but also held a middle leadership role as a Progress Leader, supporting pupils’ academic and personal development.

In 2018, she moved to The Bahamas, where she broadened her international experience by teaching Spanish across BJC, BGCSE, SAT II, and AP curricula. Most recently, she has taught both French and Spanish to pupils from Years 3 to 6, delivering engaging lessons that balance cultural exploration with grammar and vocabulary acquisition.

With over 13 years of teaching experience, she is deeply committed to helping students grow in confidence and fluency, and to instilling a lifelong love of languages in all learners. She is thrilled to be joining the team at Queen’s Qatar this year and looks forward to contributing to a positive and inspiring school community.
