Queen’s International School Qatar is delighted to announce that it has achieved membership of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) following a rigorous compliance and evaluation process.
As part of the membership process, Queen’s underwent a detailed three-day review, during which the visiting COBIS team met with school leaders and members of the wider school community and reviewed practice across key areas including safeguarding and safer recruitment, student welfare, facilities, governance, ethos and values.
The resulting report was overwhelmingly positive, recognising the strength of the culture and community that Queen’s has established since opening.
The COBIS report highlighted the strong culture and sense of community that have developed at Queen’s in a relatively short period of time. As a new and rapidly growing school, Queen’s was praised for embracing the challenge of establishing a positive culture and ensuring that its ethos, values and commitment to wellbeing have remained firmly embedded throughout its growth. The visiting team found that community and care were consistently identified by students, staff and families as being at the heart of what makes Queen’s special.
